When multiplying, you don't have to line up the decimal points. Just line up the ones place. Next multiply as usual, ignoring the decimal point. Then when getting there, count the spaces until you get to the decimal points, on the numbers being multiplied. Then place it in the spot of the product.
When dividing decimals make the decimal a whole number by moving the decimal point. Divide casually, then put your decimal point in the original place.
