  • Joan earned the kings trust by bowing down to him in a room full of men when never seeing him, she also gained his trust by already knowing one of his big secrets. Because Joan gained his trust she led the French into battle.
  • Bubonic Plague
  • Joan led the French into the battle of the Orleans. During the war, many feudal lords died, so kings reclaimed their land and regained power. The war helped to shift power from feudal lords to monarchs and to common people.
  • Magna Carta
  • Joan got captured by the Roman Catholic Church. They thought she was a witch so they decided to burn her at the stake. King John never came for her. Joan of Arc's heroism changed the way many French men and women felt about their king and nation. 
  • The Growth Of The Towns, Cities, Markets
  • The Plague helped decline feudalism by it killed almost 1/2 of Europe's population which changed the social structure. Feudal lords didn't have any power during the plague years. 
  • The Magna Carta impacted feudalism by A king could no longer collect special taxes without the consent of barons and church officials. "No free man" could be jailed except by the lawful judgment of his peers or by the law of the land. It also introduced the idea that not even the king was above the law those reasons help decline feudalism.   
  •  Towns and cities and markets began to grow and small places began having their own king. Towns started to become wealthy because of that it weakened feudalism, the towns became wealthy over being dominated by lords.
