Storyboard Text

  • Welcome to 5th grade to-be 5th grader! My name is Elisha Robinson. I am here to tell you about 10 tips to help you survive 5th grade.
  • You have to take chances, make mistakes, and get messy! You should remember that it is okay if you get it wrong. You should at least try. You don’t always understand something the first time, but still take a chance on it. ♬Take a chance on me (Mamma Mia)♬
  • TIP #10: Risk Take
  • You might find that a friend of yours is alone at recess, and your playing with your friends. You should include them. It is your last year at Westbrook and the more friends you have going into middle school, the better. So hang out with them now, not later.
  • Tip #9: Include Others
  • Let’s just say that you don’t always need hand sanitizer. Use it when you need it, and when you don’t, just leave it where it is and DON’T touch it. Our class learned that the hard way. So do yourself a favor and don’t over use it.
  • TIP #8: Leadership
  • One VERY important thing is to be ready for candy and erasers. I learned she will throw them with NO warning. Remember to get as many erasers or candy as possible. You can eat them in a candy case, right away. Don’t hesitate when you see one. Know one is your friend when that happens.
  • Tip #7: Watch Out for Flying Erasers and Candy
  • TIP #6: Use Deodorant
  • You do not want to stink up the classroom. You are going to stink, so put deodorant on before you go to school. Oh, also brush your teeth before school, that’s for sure.
