In the small town of Maycomb during a time of great racial prejudice, lived a family. A lawyer who hated his job, a cook and two children.
Scout finds that her first day of school wasn't going to turn out the way she had envisioned, after being scolded for knowing her alphabet. This is the time when Scout's mocking bird is killed.
The town's recluse, Boo Radley, begins to leave treasures in a tree hole in front of his house. Showing scout and her family that he isn't the monster everyone thinks he is.
Atticus is put to the test when Tom Robinson is accused of rape. It is a hard case for Atticus because of Maycomb's racial prejudice. In the end Tom is proven guilty.
Atticus' children are bullied a lot in school for having a father who defends black people.
Ewell, a man who openly disapproved of Atticus' clientelle choice, goes after his children. Boo Radley steps up and saves the day by killing Ewell. Once and for all, proving he isn't a monster.
