Jem and Scout are two kids who live in a small racist town when there father takes a case with a black man they learn many lessons.
Scout makes fun of Walter Cunningham after she invites him to eat and calpurnia says " don't let me catch you remarkin on their ways like you was so high and mighty!"(p.33)
calpurrnia doesnt act the way she does at work at church and scout questions her and she says she cant act like shesmbetter than everyone else (p.167)
Jem has to read everyday to Mrs.Dubose later he finds out that Mrs.Dubose was a morphine addict so she was courages for trying to get rid of her addiction before she died .
Throughout the book the kids learned about alot about live and grew up alot from all the lessons they learned .
