Bob and Johnny had a conflict which eventually led to Johnny killing him
"I killed him" (Hinton 56)
Man v. Man
"I knew that was what Dally wanted... I knew that he would be dead, because Dallas Winston wanted to be dead," (Hinton 154).
Man v. Self
Dally was so sad that Johnny had died that he wanted to die too.
"Not like the Socs, who jump greasers and wreck houses and throw beer blasts for kicks, and get editorials in the paper for being a public disgrace one day and an asset to society the next," (Hinton 3).
Man v. Society
The greasers could never win against the Socs because the newspapers made them seem like hoods, while the Socs were assets to the community.
