Weathering Erosion Deposition.
This is a story that shows what could possibly happen to Guadalupe Peak over the next million years or so.
Many years of wind and slight rain would weather the peak down.
(Imagine that it is still one mountain) Wind would cause the weathered sediment to erode away, along with continued weathering.
After a long time, the area would be pretty flat due to most of the rock that was once there being eroded and no longer there.
(There is no way to get rid of the water and palm trees and this was the best picture for what i needed) This is one of the many sand dunes that surrounds guadalupe peak. Right now, the dunes aren't too big.
the erosion of the sediment that was once part of the tallest mountain in Texas will likely end up depositing large amounts of it nearby, causing the dunes to become massive. This, of course, would happen over thousands or even millions of years.
