Storyboard Text

  • Phillip Malloy is a character introduced when he was first was in the hallway. He was caught by the gym teacher because the gym teacher knew him because he was recommended by his old gym teacher to make sure Phillip makes the track team.
  • Expolotion
  • Phillip dislikes one of his teachers, Mrs Narwin and he likes to bother her. The school rule is that NOBODY is allowed to sing the national anthem when it comes on the loud speaker. Since. phillip doesn't like her, during her class he starts to hum the national anthem and after she asks him to stop he keeps doing it. Until she finally decides to kick him out and get him in trouble
  • Conflict
  • Philip, annoys his homeroom teacher by humming the Star Spangled Banner and he is given a choice between apologizing and being suspended. Philip refuses to apologize. The incident is reported in a local paper and becomes a rallying point for the national press where readers are divided between the actions against Philip.
  • Rising Action
  • Climax
  • The climax of Nothing but the Truth is when Philip goes in front of the school board about humming during the National Anthem.
  • Falling Action
  • Phillip has the option to say sorry but thinks he does not need to say sorry because the rule not to be able to hum is crazy
  • Resolution
  • At the end the resolution in Nothing But The Truth Phillip ended up switching schools.
