"Never bet the devil your head" Ethan Leinen
l'll bet the devil my head
At 5 months of age, Toby Damnit was caught eating a deck of cards
I will jump over this river
Toby Damnit then grew into playing poker. He played a lot of poker,
You should get a running start to jump over the river
As a figure of speech, most people would say "I'll bet you a dollar", or "I'll bet what you please"
Toby was tired of playing poker all the time, so he and I went for a long walk outside of town. Toby then found a river that he thought he could jump over,
Right as he was about to jump over the river, an figure appeared. Toby then yelled, "I bet the devil my head". The old man helped him jump by saying "you should get a running start before you jump."
