Junior is a ninth-grader growing up on the Spokane Indian Reservation. One day he threw a book at his teacher breaking his nose.
After one week, Junior meet his teacher again. His teacher did not only forgive Junior but also made a confession. In their conversation, Junior's teacher said, "We were supposed to kill the Indian to save the child?” He is trying to say that the schools intention was too remove indian culture from the indian students.
When Junior's parents came back, he told them he wanted to move to another place to study. his parents agreed really quickly as they wanted a better life for him and his sister. The next day when he went back to school. He told Rowdy about his plan to move to another place to study. Rowdy got angry and hit Junior, turning them from good friends to worst enemies.
Man V.S Man: Junior has a fight with Rowdy causing them to turn tides against each other.
