  • Rhea Silvia was visited by Mars in a temple. she had her two twin sons with her. She was saying goodbye to them, for she knew her uncle Amulius would kill them otherwise.
  • The Boys must die! never shall they be seen again!
  • why...
  • The two twin boys (Romulus and Remus) were thrown into the Tiber river in a basket.
  • A she wolf saw the crying babies and fed them wiht her own milk, a woodpekker brought them food to eat. the animals raised them and named them Romulus and Remus. THey were raised as simple shepherds.
  • when Remus got into a fight with another shepherd, he was locked up by Amulius. Romulus wanted to free his brother, and in the process killed the King. Through this the brothers found their true identities.
  • Their supporters wanted them to be the new kings, but they reinstated their grandfather instead.
  • Instead of fighting for their place, they retreated back to the tiber river, where they were raised. They started building a city and named it Rome. They became real kings after all.
