Students were to complete a lab today displaying the porosity of soil aggregates. They were given time to read over the lab and find partners.
Once in the lab, students collected two equal sized aggregates, sprayed them with polyurethane. Once dry, they submerged them in water and counted air bubbles released. They recorded, hypothesized and discussed their results with their partners on their lab sheet.
Once all the students were done, Mr. Bane discussed what the purpose of the lab was, what they discovered, and what the air bubbles told them about the soils.
