  • The 3rd Estate still felt under represented, so they Formed the National Assembly and created the Tennis Court Oath: which was an agreement to stay in the royal tennis court until they had written a new Constitution
  • Soon after, the women of the Kingdom stormed the Palace of Versailles angry that they had insufficient food to survive. This was known as the March on Versailles
  • We need bread for our families!
  • The family of Marie Antoinette and King Lois XVI was taken to Paris where they were imprisoned, and soon after King Louis XVI was sentenced to death
  • Terror is nothing other than justice, prompt, severe, inflexible
  • The period after King Louis XVI's death was known as the Reign of Terror. It was a revolutionary movement led by Robespierre that fought effortlessly for the workers of France, and sentenced anyone who spoke out against it to death!
  • Marie Antoinette was sentenced to death by Guillotine, a "humane" form of capital punishment used throughout the Reign of terror
  • After the French Revolution Napoleon Bonaparte seized political power and helped rebuild it's military to its former glory
  • He who fears being conquered, is sure of defeat!
