  • Lenin Takes Charge
  • Ah yes! The magnificant Czar's palace is finally mine. Now, communism will have it's place in my society.
  • Treaty of Brest- Litovsk
  • Thank so much for allowing my poor country to pull out. Farewell to you and your Germany.
  • Oh the pleasure is mine! This war will end much faster now..
  • As many as 200,000 female textile workers had revolted in what is known as the "March Revolution." The pressure they insinuated upon Nicholas II caused him to abdicate his throne.
  • Civil War
  • Lenin and his fellow Bolsheviks had overthrown the provisional government set in place after Nicholas II gave up his reign. His most famous slogan became "Peace, Land, and Bread."
  • Trotsky vs. Stalin
  • During the war, Russia had lost countless lives. This caused Russia to officially pull out of the Great War by signing the Treaty of Brest- Litovsk with Germany.
  • Stalin's Tyrant Rule
  • During 1918-1920,the Russian civil war had taken place. It was composed of the red army and the white army fighting against each other for dominance over Russia. The red army, led by Leon Trotsky, had won the civil war, and Lenin was victorious.
  • In Januaray 1924, Lenin had died. This left Leon Trotsky and Stalin to stuggle for power of Russia. They both desperately wanted it, Stalin was elected ruler of Ruissa. He then exiled Trotsky and began to govern over The Communist Party and rule as a dictator.
  • Damn you Stalin! You evil cheat!
  • You'd better leave Trotsky. I've already won!
  • Life under Stalin's rule was awful. His people had suffered greatly as he subjected them to work camps and ruled with an "iron fist." Many mass murders had taken place and the people never found Stalin to be the true source of their misery, due to the indoctrination that took place.
