Storyboard Text

  • I am DNA
  • I am made of four nitrogen bases adenine, thymine, guanine and cytosine
  • I am in the form of a double helix  and have two strands of genes
  • During this time the nitrogen base thymine is turned into uracil
  • During transcription I am unzipped and a copy of the genes is built called RNA
  • I am RNA the end result of transcription
  • After I am made I leave the nucleus and heads to a ribosome
  • During translation RNA is used like a recipe and red in sets of three to form different types of amino acids
  • The end result of translation is me protein
  • If a mistake happens during one of the processes it can cause a mutation in the orginism
  • Sometimes though even if something was coped wrong the end result can still be the same if it the organism has adapted to read it as it should read
