I wounder what happened during the Han dynasty. The only thing I know is that it lasted from 206 BCE to 220 CE. I also know that Emperor Qin Shihuangdi was the ruler.
I can infer that medicine most likely that medicine has evolved to what it is now. This might of happened through different sickness that occurred. Someone did tell me once that moxibustion and acupuncture to help relax people and help to balance yin and yang.
I think one technique developed by Chinese healers for this purpose was acupuncture. In acupuncture, thin needles are inserted into specific parts of the body. This procedure is thought to re balance the forces of yin and yang. Acupuncture is believed to be useful for curing illnesses that strike quickly, like headaches.
Oh yeah A second healing technique was moxibustion. In this method, a moxa—a small cone of powdered leaves or sticks—is placed on or near the skin and burned. The heat is believed to reduce pain and promote healing. This technique is used to treat long-term diseases, such as arthritis.
I remember that some cool discovery's were made for example, they learned to judge health by listening to a person's heartbeat or by feeling his or her pulse. The pulse is the little throb in your blood vessels, caused by the contraction of your heart as it pumps blood through the body.
Wow i think i answered all my questions by myself without any books or the internet. I learned a lot about medicen and how i changed and when the Han Dynasty lasted to.
