  • This is awesome!
  • I love it here!
  • Tournament director
  • Tennis wasn't the only thing that we did that week. As nationals was three weeks prior to Christmas, we went Christmas light looking! We were staying in an area that was famous for putting on an incredible display. It did not disappoint! There was only house which had a snow machine and covered the house and yard in snow!
  • Goodbye Nationals! Until next time...
  • So, as the week went on I learnt a lot about myself and tennis. I had many wins and a few loses but I found the week so enjoyable! I had always dreamed of playing a nationals and I played all week with no regrets and fought hard in every match! I met people from all over Australia who shared the same passion as me. But as Thursday approached, we came to a realisation...
  • Noooo!
  • Nationals was the same week as graduation so we knew that on the Friday we would have to leave early afternoon to drive home. Christina panicked that we could possibly have late matches and miss graduation all together. Anxiously, we pleaded to the tournament director, hoping that he would give us early matches.
  • Luckily, the tournament director was nice and played our matches early. Both Chelsea and I played and we left Melbourne around 2. We thought that we would easily make it and we all signed in relief. But when we get onto the highway the traffic comes to a halt, a long halt. Oh no...
  • Eventually, we began to crawl. Going a slow 5km an hour for what seemed like an enternity. What should've been a two hour drive turned into three hours and we arrived in Traralgon around 5pm. We had roughly an hour to get ready before the graduation ceremony.
  • Graduation was a success! We went for dinner afterwards and reflected on the amazing week we had. Both Chelsea and I knew that we would be involved in another nationals but for now we enjoyed reminiscing the week we had experienced.
