  • I can't believe I have to move to the hot, dry desert. I'm going to regret this.
  • Let my people go.
  • No! I will never let your people go. Never!
  • We have to sacrifice this lamb.
  • Jacob and his family moved from Canaan to Egypt because there was a famine and Egypt had a lot of grain ect... -As the Hebrew population grew, the Pharaoh became mistrustful because the Hebrews practiced MONOTHIESM , which was different from Egyptian beliefs -Pharaoh enslaved them
  • All people are now set free
  • Moses was an Israelite who grew up as a prince of Egypt -God instructed Moses to free the Israelites from slavery, so he asked the Pharaoh for permission to fulfil his COVENANT.
  • I will take these 10 commandments to my people. That way it will be used towards God
  • After the pharaoh disagreed to let the people go, God gave 10 plagues over the people of Egypt. Those including water turning into blood, swarms of bugs, and passover. This is where israelites would sacrifice a lamb, and spread the blood on their doors so when the killing comes, God would Passover them.
  • Now that I'm in charge, my people and I are going to settle
  • When the pharaoh finally realized that all of these plagues would happen until the pharaoh agrees to free the Israelites, he decided to let them go.
  • Moses went up the mountain to meet with God. When Moses returned, he held the 10 COMMANDMENTS in his hands, which were laws the people needed to follow. They were laws Israelites they used towards God, as many people used today because they are ETHICAL
  • After Moses died, Joshua was the new leader. So, the Israelites entered Canaan under his command. There, they conquered small kingdoms including Jericho. After that, they settled.
