Storyboard Text

  • "I know a funny little man, As quiet as a mouse, Who does the mischief that is done In everybody’s house!  There’s no one ever sees his face, And yet we all agree That every plate we break was cracked By Mr. Nobody."
  • Mr. Nobody is a poem about someone named Mr. Nobody who does everything that you're not supposed to do. His name is Mr. Nobody because when a certain action, such as a plate breaking, nobody takes responsibility for it.
  • "That squeaking door will always squeak, For prithee, don’t you see, We leave the oiling to be done By Mr. Nobody."
  • Mr. Nobody is responsible for the chores that no one else wants to do, in addition to being blamed for everything negative.
  • "His are the feet that bring in mud,   And all the carpets soil. The papers always are mislaid;  Who had them last, but he? There’s no one tosses them about   But Mr. Nobody.{
  • The poem Mr. Nobody is funny because everyone at some point blames something on Mr. Nobody because he can't disagree. The irony in this is because Mr. Nobody isn't real but is still being blamed for things.
