Hi, I'm Kiki.
Molly was walking Kiki when suddenly, she saw a street lamp bent over. She called the police and they asked her what angle it was leaning at. Molly used trigonometry to calculate this because the street lamp was 7 meters long and the top of the street lamp to the ground was 5 meters high. She used sin to calculate this by doing 0=sin-1(5/7)=45.5846. She told the police that it was leaning at an angle of 46, and the police said that they would come right away.
After their incident, Molly decided that they should go to the park. Kiki saw her friend there and went to go play with her kite. Molly sat down on a bench and looked around at the scenery.
After a bit of time, Molly wanted to see how far she was from Kiki. Since the kite string was 40m long and was flying at an angle of 65, she used trigonometry to figure it out. She used 40cos65=16.9m which meant that Kiki was almost 17m away from her.
Kiki came to her mom and asked her to go to the playground. There is a height requirement of 1m so Molly calculates the height of Kiki. Since she is 2m away from her and looking at the top of her at an angle of 25, she uses trigonometry to figure it out. She uses 2tan25=0.9326m. Unfortunately, Kiki is only 93cm tall and is not tall enough for the 1m height requirement of the playground so they decide to go home.
As they are walking home, Kiki thanks Molly for letting her have a fun day. THE END
