  • Odysseus' men landed on Circe's island, hungry and dejected.
  • Odysseus speared a stag.
  • "Some god took pity on my loneliness: across my path he sent a tall horned stag." (Pg. 196)
  • The men split up into two groups.
  • "Eurylochus rushed back to tell us of our comrade's shameful fate." (Pg. 198)
  • "They left with 2 and 20 men." (pg. 197)
  • The men found Circe's house! So many animals... Weird...
  • "Wolves she'd bewitched with some evil spell." (Pg. 197)
  • As Eurylochus watched, Circe turned his friends into pigs!
  • "She'll turn us to Wolves or Hogs!" (Pg. 204)
  • Eurylochus went back to Odysseus and the other men and told them what the witch-goddess Circe had done.
