Miss Strangworth purchased a box os strawberries, tea, a can of cat food and a tomato from the local grocer Mr. Lewis.
On the way home from the store Miss. Strangworth stopped to chit chat with many of the townspeople she went by.
When Miss. Strangworth arrived home she began to write her letters. One for Mr. & Mrs. Crane, Mrs. Harper and Mrs. Foster.
When she finished writing them she proceeded to deliver them, not noticing she dropped one she returned to her home.
The Harris boy notice Miss. Strangworth drop the letter and called out to her but she was too far to hear, he decided to deliver the letter as it was addressed to Dan Crane.
When Miss. Strangworth woke up the next morning there was a letter waiting for her from Mr. Crane that read 'Look at what used to be your roses'
