  • •Exposition: House, parlor, evening. Mr & Mrs White, Herbert their Son, and Sergeant Major Morris
  • I would like to go to India sometime, just to look around.
  • Its better where you are right now.
  • •Conflict: Sargent Major Morris talks about the monkeys paw. The family doesn't know if they should wish and then they end up wishing for 200 pounds ($350) Mr. White vs. Monkey's Paw
  • There come great consequences for wishing. Everyone's last wish is for death.
  • 200 pounds
  • Should I wish?
  • WISH!
  • Rising action:The family wishes for 200 pounds. A fine crash from the piano greeted his words, interrupted by a shuddering cry from the old man. His wife and son ran toward him. The Mr.White says the paw moved in his hand.
  • I warned you!
  • I wish for 200 pounds.
  • •Rising Action: Herbert dies when he gets caught in a machine at a factory. A representative comes and gives them 200 pounds just like what they wished for.
  • •Climax: The family wishes for Herbert to come back to life and then he comes knocking. Mr. White knows he'll come back rotten and open from when he got caught in the machines.
  • NO!
  • LET ME GO!
  • Falling action and resolution: Mr.White wishes for Herbert to die again. Mrs.White opens the door and all they see is a street lamp flickering opposite shone on a quiet and deserted road.
