Storyboard Text

  • Introduction
  • Fortunato has fooled me too many times, I will get revenge!
  • Claim
  • He is finally out of the picture.
  • Reason
  • What kind of outfit is that? Lol.
  • In the short story "The Cask of Amontillado" by Edger Allan Poe, one of the characters was named Fortunato. He always teased Montresor frequently. Montesor didn't like this very much and was finally at his breaking point. He soon got an idea on how to take revenge upon Fortunato by killing him.
  • Textual Evidence
  • Very impressive coat of arms
  • Montesor's revenge was justified.
  • Analysis
  • We were a great family until you showed up.
  • Montresor was justified because he got tired of the teasing from Fortunato.
  • Conclusion
  • This isn't funny anymore!
  • Montresor says, "True. We Montresor's were a great family." (3)
  • You can infer that the Montresor's have suffered from dishonor, and it downgraded their name. So, he wanted Fortunato to feel pain, and pay for what he did. Montresor did it because Fortunato was vulnerable and it was the perfect plan.
  • Montresor experienced great humiliation and that made him angry enough to kill Fortunato.
  • It is for me!
