  • One day Mãui the demigod, was wondering how people of his village got fire. So he then ran through the town, putting out fires, so he could see where it came from.
  • This was Maui's plan. He secretly wanted to see where fire came from, and his scheme had worked
  • You must now go see your grandmother to ask for more fire
  • Okay mother
  • Maui then visited his grandmother and ask for some fire. She had not spoken to anyone in a while and liked maui, so gave him one of her firy fingernails
  • Every time Maui's grandmother gave him a fire finger Maui threw it into the river. She did not realise she was being tricked until she was down to her last toe nail. She grew mad and surrounded Maui with fire
  • Maui turned into an eagle and called upon the gods to put his grandmother out. He saw how the fire was made with friction of wood, and flew off
  • Maui came how to his mother with a way to make fire. Maui's mischief had succeded this time.
