  • Texans camped nearby Santa Anna, on April 21, the Texans launched a surprise attack, they killed more than 600 soldiers and captured about 700 more, including Santa Anna.

  • Mexicans killed all the defenders, including Travis, Crockett, Bowie and a number of Tejanos.

  • In 1830, Mexico closed it's borders to further immigration.
