Storyboard Text

  • The Women's Rights Movement
  • The First Women's Rights Convention
  • Discussion and Debate
  • Women should have equal treatment as men.
  • I like everything just the way it is!
  • Women were not treated as equals as men, and were thought to be naturally weaker and less smarter than men. The Women's Rights Movement was a movement where women fought for equal rights between men and women.
  • More Conventions
  • At this first Women's Rights Convention held in Seneca Falls, New York, women take the conflict of equal treatment between men and women to the next level.
  • The Declaration of Sentiments
  • The first Women's Rights Convention allows people to discuss and debate. In addition, it also permits people to voice their opinions, and more ideas are acknowledged and voiced.
  • Impacting The U.S. Forever
  • Manager
  • People were impacted by the first convention, so more conventions were held and more people joined. To prove my point, more than 1,000 people attended after the first convention!
  • The Declaration of Sentiments was created at a Women's Rights Convention, summarizing the hardships and grievances of the Women's Rights Movement, and setting the agenda for the Women's Rights Movement.
  • Without the first Women's Rights Convention in Seneca Falls, women may not have the rights they have now. The first Women's Rights Convention led to important events such as the ratification of the 19th amendment, which included granting women the right to vote, and the formation of the National Women Suffrage Association which fought for voting rights for women.
  • Women now have the same rights as men and have the same opportunities!
