It all started At Fort Sumter
The important people were President Lincoln, he asked the Union to provide 75,000 militiamen for 90 days.
On April 12, in the morning guns opened fire on the island fort. About a day and a half the confederates fired shells until Anderson was asked to surrender. Yet, no one was killed it all led to the start of the Civil War. Days after forced to surrender Lincoln told the Union to bring more militiamen. They were all for 90 days. Some states leaders where angry.
The outcome of all this was that about 600,000 militias where dead.
