Storyboard Text

  • " I have decided to give my chapters prime numbers 2,3,5,7,11,13 and so on because I like prime numbers". 11( Haddon ).
  • Why is this important? Christopher likes to have things in order and nothing to change. Prime numbers are natural numbers greater than 1 that have no positive divisors other than 1 and itself. Which means it the number could never change.
  • Why is this important? It shows us that without things being logical with evidence, Christopher doesn't understand them.
  • " I like things in nice order. And one of those things being in nice order was to be logical. Especially if those things were numbers or in a argument"24 ( Haddon ).
  • Christophers Room No moving things No lying Only Logical
  • This is imporant because we see that he doesn't like to be touched by other people or be in a tight space with them. Christopher likes to be alone in a tight spaces to feel relaxed and okay.
  • " I really like small spaces, so long as there is no one else in them with me. Sometimes when I want to be on my own I get into the airing cupboard outside the bathroom and slide in besides the boiler and pull the door closed behind me and sit there and think for hours and it makes me feel very calm"50 (Haddon ).
  • " And I like Maths and looking after Toby. And I also like outer space and I like being on my own" 55 (Haddon).
  • + - =
  • Why is this important? This is important because it shows that he is independant and likes when he has a list of what he likes and closure that it is accurate.
  • Why is this important? This is important because it shows that likes things that are logical and not make believe. He could never be told that 2+2=4 because its logical. Life isn't logical because things can happen without logic behind it. Example, his fathers lies, mother not being dead, etc.
  • Christopher John Francis Bone A Level Math
  • "Mr. Jeavons said that I liked maths because it was safe. He said I liked maths because it meant solving problems, and these problems were difficult and interesting but there was always a straightforward answer in the end. What he meant was that maths wasn't like life because in life because in life there are no straight forward answers in the end" (Haddon 62).
  • 4+4 = 8 Pi = 3.14
  • The Hound of The Baskervilles Sherlock Homes
  • "I like "The Hound of the Baskervilles" because it is a detective story, which means that there are clues and Red Heerings... I also like Sherlock Holmes and I think that if I were a proper detective he is kind of the detective I would be..Sherlock Holmes had a very remarkable degree, the power of detaching his mind at will. And this is like me too". 71 and 73 (Haddon).
  • Why is this imporant? I shows us that Christopher likes mysteries because with the clues, you find that the mystery wasn't a mystery and there is an answer to everything. That is what he likes about them.
