  • While the Constitution was in the process of being ratified, the anti-federalists disagreed with it and did not want the development of the new strong government. The federalists agreed with the constitution and were ready for stability.
  • The Bill of Rights are the first 10 amendments of the United States Constitution, written by James Madison. The Bill of Rights lists specific prohibitions on governmental power and lists basic human liberties.
  • It took a while for the states to agree on ratifying the new U.S Constitution, but eventually the government got the 9 out of 13 votes they needed to officially make the Constitution the official document of rights and laws for America.
