The Constitution of the United States of America
story by: Emily Polanco
Benjamin Franklin was going to the State House in Philadelphia for the Grand Meeting in order to improve the existing form of government.
I'm on my way to go to the state house in Philadelphia!
Benjamin Franklin was not really trusted with anything so they had to make sure that he knew that it was a secret.
This is where we will be holding the meetings, but it's a secret.
The citizens did not want to become united with anyone. They wanted to stay citizens of their own state.
We are not going to pledge allegiance to that flag! We have our own state!
This was the first meeting of all of the delegates.
We are all here to discuss the writing of the U.S constitution.
I hope that you all liked the story of the U.S constitution!
