  • "Let them eat cake!"
  • Declaration of the Rights of Man
  • Freedom
  • Reign of Terror
  • Thousands of Parisian women rioted at the Palace of Versailles and demanded bread. They demanded bread because of a sudden rise of the price of bread.
  • Execution of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette
  • A law of several freedoms such as freedom of speech, freedom of religion, etc. was made. The slogan was “Liberty Equality Fraternity”.
  • Rise of Napoleon
  • This was the period when Maximilien Robespierre was the leader of France. The invention of the guillatine caused chaos throughout the country with several beheadings taking place.
  • Fall of Napoleon
  • The king and queen were executed by their own people. Most of the people involve in the execution were the people of the third estate.
  • Napoleon was a French military leader and emperor who conquered much of Europe in the early 19th century. He had a sudden sieze of power in France, also called a coul d’etat.
  • Napoleon fell because of some major mistakes throughout the course of his reign. He left France with less power and no leader.
