  • Macbeth returns after killing Duncan to tell Lady Macbeth that he has killed Duncan.
  • I have done the deed. Didst thou not hear a noise?
  • Lady Macbeth returns daggers to guilt the guards of killing Duncan
  • Macbeth and Lady Macbeth wash their hands clean of blood and change into their night-gowns.
  • My hand are of your color, but i shame to wear a heart so white. Get on your night-gown!
  • To know my deed 'twere best not know myself.
  • Macduff finds Duncan dead
  • O horror! horror! horror! Tongue nor heart cannot conceive nor name thee
  • Malcolm and Donalbain fled to England and Ireland to stay safe
  • Duncan's murder is blamed on the guards and Malcolm and Donalbain. Macbeth is being named king.
  • Malcolm and Donalbain, the kings two sons, are stol'n away and fled, which put upon them suspicion of the deed
  • Then 'tis most like the sovereignty will fall upon Macbeth
