  •     The author states "he wanted nothing less than that she should go to Tom and stay: 'I never loved you.'" showing Gatsby's idealism is that he wants everything perfect like it was before (Fitzgerald 109). Even though, you can not rewind time. 
  •     The author states "at four o'clock a green house arrived from Gatsby" showing Gatsby wants everything lovely for Daisy when she comes over so, he bought he a bunch of flowers (Fitzgerald 85). The flowers show Gatsby's idealism.
  •     The author describes Gatsby's house as a "imitation of some Hotel de Ville" and later the book says he lives in this house for Daisy (Fitzgerald 5).
