Let us go forward without further speech.
A woman wants the self-same sovereignty Over her husband as over her lover.
Before this court I ask you then, sir knight, To keep your work and take me for your wife.
Together, the Knight and the old woman travel to the royal court to seek the Queen's decision.
You have two choices; which one will you try?
The Knight correctly tells the court what women desire most: power over her husband.
My lady and my love, my dearest wife, I leave the matter to your wise decision.
After the Knight is saved, the old woman demands to be married to the Knight... and her wish is granted.
On my oath And word of honor, you shall find me both, That is, both fair and faithful as a wife.
Upon seeing that her new husband is unhappy with his fate, the old woman gives the Knight a choice: she can be old and loyal or beautifully young and unfaithful.
The Knight gives the choice back to her.
The old woman rejoices, and as a reward becomes young and faithful- they live happily ever after.
