Photosynthesis & Respiration Project
This storyboard does not have a description.
Photosynthesis is used in plants to make food. In order to perform photosynthesis, light (the source of energy), water, and carbon dioxide are needed. Photosynthesis is a two-stage process.
Photosynthesis takes place inside the plant's cells. Plants get their green color from pigment called chlorophyll in the organelle, chloroplast. The chloroplast captures the sunlight and uses it as energy in the cell. This is used to power the next stage in photosynthesis.
In the second stage of photosynthesis, the cells use the energy to produce sugars. The reactants used in the process are water (H20) and carbon dioxide (C02). The water goes up through the plant's stem from its roots. Carbon dioxide from animals
