Storyboard Text

  • The Most Dangerous Game
  • The story's setting is portrayed as the character Whitney states " 'The old charts call it 'Ship Trap Island,' Whitney replied'... 'Sailors have a curious dread of this place' " (Connell 60).
  • Incident
  • As the Story progresses pretty calmly you are thrown with a twist when Rainsford makes the wrong action that is " He lunged for it ; a short , hoarse cry came out from his lips as he realized he had reached too far and had lost his balance" (Connell 63).
  • Rising Action
  • Connell makes the tension rise with the statements " 'Hunting? Good God, General Zaroff , what you speak of is murder. 'You don't mean_'cried Rainsford" (Connell 74).
  • Climax
  • The Suspense becomes intense as Rainsford goes through the General's test, " But the sharp eyes of the Hunter stopped before they reached the limb that Rainsford lay; a smile spread over his brown face" (Connell 76).
  • Falling Action
  • As Rainsford starts to fight back he even accomplishes the great task that is " But the hope in Rainsford's brain when he climbed died , for he saw ... General Zaroff was still on his feet. But Ivan was not" (Conell 79).
  • Resolution
  • This adventure sadly ends with a crazy scheme in which Rainsford enters the house secretly, winning the game and to end it the general said " ... 'I congratulate you,... You have won the game" (Conell 80).
