i have one more question its about genetic conditions who are they passed down. I was wondering because both my mom and my aunt both have diabetes
well that is because of Genetic engineering. Scientists now have the technology and materials to Genetic engineering different animals. The scientist do this by altering the cells and DNA. They producing new substances or improving functions of the existing organisms. They do this so the animals plants ect can last longer in harsh environment. like for a plant for example if it cant go in the sun the can alter the DNA so it can. Also you can alter them for personal chooses. Some examples are to make a cow be a certain color or how big it is.
Dominant genetic condition are caused by a mutation in a copy of a gene. If the mom/dad has a dominant genetic condition, then each of that person’s children has a 50% chance of getting that condition. Recessive genetic condition . When both parents have the same recessive condition. Then there is a very high chances that the child will get it. Sex-linked genetic condition affect girls and boy very differently. the mutation of the gene or the condition are usually located on the X or Y chromosomes.
i have another question on my farm we have these cows that are pretty much look very much alike and have all the same diseases
