The End! By: Emma Wong 802
The Aztec's started to die from smallpox that had been brought by the Spanish. Cuitlahuac died from the disease after being leader for 80 days and half the population of Tenochtitlan may have died from smallpox in 5 months.
Cortes returned to Tenochtitlan with his allies, as well as the warriors of Texcoco who were members of the Triple Alliance. They turned against the Aztec and saw the strength of the Spanish. The Aztec's had no allies and with so many people dead it became harder to defeat the Spanish.
