John Proctor, Abigail, Elizabeth Compared o Miller, Kazan, and Marilyn Monroe
Elizabeth is similar to Miller because they both were greatly wronged, yet forgave their loved ones in order to restore their honor.
Proctor resembles Kazan because they both willingly have an affair, despite the involvement of marriage. In doing so, they both hurt those they are close to.
Abigail is much like Marilyn Monroe because she gets between two people who are very close.
Kazan betrayed his friends, which resulted in people hating him and his job being hurt, which is the only reason why he gave names; to save it.
Betrayal drove people apart, resulting in the final outcome of both the era of McCarthyism and The Crucible being the exact opposite of the reasons for bad doings.
Abigail betrayed her town in order to try and gain the love of John and save her own life there, hurting everyone around her. They ended up dying and she ended up having to run away, anyways, because she got John convicted.
