Storyboard Text

  • Principle #1 Genetic Variation. In the swamp above there are dark green frogs and orange frogs
  • Principle #2 Overproduction & the Struggle for Existence. A female frog lays about 20,000 eggs yearly but roughly 4.000 only survive due to local predators
  • Principle #3 Differential Survival & Reproduction. The orange frogs can't camouflage well so the dark green frogs survive and reproduce more frequently
  • Principle #4 Changes in the Gene Pool. Since the orange frogs are being killed off easier, the dark green frogs have a higher fitness so they reproduce more and their ability to camouflage will be passed down to the next generation of frogs
