"Oh! So you want some rough-house! All right, let's have some rough-house! [He springs toward her, overturning the table. She cries out and strikes at him with the bottle top but he catches her wrist.] Tiger--tiger! Drop the bottle top! Drop it! We've had this date with each other from the beginning!"
Stanley raped Blanche, he knows no one would believe her if she told, and that he'd get away with it. When he says "We've had this date with each other from the beginning!" it shows that he, as a man, is entitled to take what he wants when he wants it.. Stanley believes men should be superior over women, and forcing himself on Blanche helps prove this point.
Stanley wearing clothes to show that his masculinity is a top priority, and him raping Blanche, these are things that show what kind of man he is. Stanley is one who puts his manhood above others. He feels that he is allowed to do whatever it is that he wants, Stanley has morals that fit his generation, but would today be severely punished for. He beat his wife and justified it for him being the "man of the house". Tennessee Williams has Stanley do so many absurd things towards women to show how women are being treated in our society then, and even now.
