  • "Lovers tounges are like the softest music to attending ears"

  • Act 1 Scene 4: Romeo is exaggerating by saying his emotions are so low he can not physically move.
  • " I have a soul of lead, so stakes me to the ground i cannot move"

  • Act 4 Scene 5: Juliet is found dead in her bed- they all think that she is dead. When in reality she is not actually dead.
  • "Lady,lady,lady!-Alas,alas! Help,help! My ladys dead!"

  • "It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night, like a rich jewel in an ethiopes ear"

  • Act 1 Scene 5: Romeo uses this metaphor to compare Juliet's appearance to that of beautiful jewlery.
  • Act 2 Scene 3: Friar Laurence uses the occurrence of the letter D, in closely connected words which makes this alliteration.
  • Act 2 Scene 2: Juliet is repeating Romeo's name. She is asking herself why the guy she loves has to be a Montague.
