Storyboard Text

  • Helen, I Love thee, by my life, I do.
  • O excellent!
  • I say I love thee more than he can do.
  • Why are you grown so rude? What change is this, sweet love?
  • Thy love! Out, tawny Tartar, out! Out loathed medicine! O hated potion, hence!
  • O me! You juggler, you canker-blossom! You thief of love!
  • Fie, fie, you counterfeit, you puppet, you!
  • Hermia, Lysander, Helena and Demetrius are together in the woods, and Lysander and Demetrius are devoted over Helena. Hermia stands nearby, watching and jealous of Lysander's love for Helena instead of her.
  • "Little" again? Nothing but "low" and "little"
  • Be no afraid. She shall not harm thee, Helena.
  • And though she be but little, she is fierce.
  • But when Hermia tries to get Lysander back, Lysander calls her names, expressing his dislike for her.
  • Now follow, if thou darest, to try whose right, Of thine of mine, is most in Helena.
  • Follow? Nay, I'll go with thee, cheek by jowl.
  • Enraged and jeaulous of the fact that Lysander loves Helena instead, Hermia and Helena begin to argue and call each other names.
  • Hie therefore, Robin, overcast the night; the starry welkin cover thou anon with drooping fog as black as Acheron, and lead these testy rivals so astray as one come not within another's way.
  • Believe me, king of shadows, I mistook. Did not you tell me I should know the man by the Athenian garments he had on?
  • While they argue, Lysander steps in between them and claims to protect his love, Helena, from Hermia, who he does not love anymore.
  • In order to claim that he loves Helena more than the other, Lysander and Demetrius seek a place to fight and whoever wins, simply wins Helena for himself.
  • After watching the trouble Puck (Robin) has caused, Oberon directs Puck to put all four of the young lovers to sleep so this problem can be fixed.
