  • did you hear about our brothers?! They passed away and Creon is only burying Eteocles But not Polyneices!
  • Really? oh no!
  • you cannot honor a trader and a hero at the same time!!
  • Polyneices was buried!
  • Here is Antigone
  • It was me
  • i knew about it yes.
  • How dare you!
  • Antigone goes to her sister, Ismene to inform her about the death of their brothers. The king, Creon has decided to bury one brother but not the other. Antigone thinks that both brother deserve a proper burial. Ismene does not want to join her because it is unlawful.
  • Father you cant kill Antigone i love her!
  • It has to be done
  • At the beginning of this scene Creon has assembled the elders of the town to inform them about a new law that was getting passed. A sentry came to Creon and told him that Polyneices was buried. Creon blames anarchist for doing it to try and get power from Creon.
  • i am ready to die
  • The sentry brings in Antigone because some guards caught her burying her brother. Antigone is not scared of death because she would rather die knowing that what she did was right than to feel guilty. Creon also brings in Ismane to question. Creon then decides that Antigone will be put to death and then will deal with Ismane.
  • Haemon, Creon's son, has come to speak with his father. Haemon asks Creon to not kill Antigone because they are in love with each other. Creon's response to the situation is impatient and angry. Haemon then says that if Antigone is to die then so will he, this only upsets the king. Creon then says that Antigone will be locked in a stone vault in the middle of the woods with no food or company.
  • Antigone is ready to die in order to see her family in the afterlife. At the end of this scene Antigone is being lead off into the wilderness to die in the vault.
  • A blind man comes to see the king to inform him that if he doesn't free Antigone and bury Polyneices then his house will be cursed. This only upsets Creon because he think that the man is just trying to get money. A messenger comes and tells him that Antigone and Haemon have died. Creon goes to bury Polyneices only to discover that his wife is also dead. He then realizes that he was too prideful and prays for death.
