ARES, was the great Olympian god of war, battlelust, civil order, and manly courage.
He was the lover of Aphrodite, who was married to Hephaestus. Hephaestus trapped them both naked in the bed using a clever device he made.
Ares Symbols: The spear, dog, and shield.
He was a strong God and he always carried his weapons wherever he went. He was very destructive.
Tuesday was named after Ares, which means "Day of Ares".
He assisted the armies of Troy in the Trojan war against the Greeks, but was wounded in an encounter with the hero Diomedes and the goddess Athena
