  • When each members met together they were confused on how to include the slaves into the population. This led them to discovering the three-fifths compromise where each slave represented 3/5 of a freed person
  • Anti-Federalists were Americans who opposed the Constitution and believed that the Articles of Confederation placed more power directly into the state's hands. On the other hand, Federalists encouraged the ratification of the Constitution.
  • While writing the constitution, the authors and delegates created the Bill of Rights which were the first ten amendments to be published
