Vincent Van Gogh was a painter, a Dutch Post-Impressionist, who used mostly watercolors.
He was born on March 30t, 1853 in Zundert, Netherlands. He had three sisters and three brothers.
He was influenced by French Impressionists when he was 13. Does anyone know what a Post-Impressionist is?
He only sold one painting while he was alive.
Also he painted mostly still lifes and local landscapes that got brighter with color the more he created his own style.
Post Impressionism is an extension of impressionism by rejecting its limitations during a French Art Movement.
The Starry Night, Irises, and Van Gogh self-portrait are some of his most famous works.
