  • ROMEO AND JULIET
  • Give me my Romeo
  • ACT 3 SCENE 1
  • A plague o' both your houses! 'Zounds, a dog, a rat, a mouse, a cat, to scratch a man to death! a braggart, a rogue, a villain, that fights by the book of arithmetic! Why the devil came you between us? I was hurt under your arm.
  • Is Romeo slaughter'd, and is Tybalt dead? My dear-loved cousin, and my dearer lord? Then, dreadful trumpet, sound the general doom! For who is living, if those two are gone?
  • ACT 3 SCENE 2
  • ACT 3
  • ACT 3 SCENE 3
  • Tybalt and Mercutio fight. Romeo gets in the way and Mercutio dies. Later on, Romeo kills Tybalt. Romeo runs away before the Prince shows up. The Prince banishes Romeo into exile.
  • ACT 3 SCENE 4
  • Monday! ha, ha! Well, Wednesday is too soon, O' Thursday let it be: o' Thursday, tell her, She shall be married to this noble earl. Will you be ready? do you like this haste?
  • The nurse rushes to Juliet and tells her about the fight. Juliet thinks Romeo is dead. Once she finds out that Romeo is banished she believes it is worse than Tybalt dying a thousand times.
  • ACT 3 SCENE 5
  • Romeo runs to Friar Lawrence. Romeo is afraid the nurse will say that Juliet hates him and wants to stab him. Friar Lawrence tells Romeo to see Juliet that night and leave Verona in the morning. Romeo might be able to return if word gets out that him and Juliet are married.
  • Spakest thou of Juliet? how is it with her? Doth she not think me an old murderer, Now I have stain'd the childhood of our joy With blood removed but little from her own? Where is she? and how doth she? and what says My conceal'd lady to our cancell'd love?
  • Lord Capulet decides to let Paris marry Juliet. He believes Juliet is upset about Tybalt's death and getting married will help. It is Monday when he decides this and says the wedding will take place on Thursday. He assures Paris that Juliet will want to get married to Paris.
  • Romeo says his goodbye to Juliet and leaves. Lady Capulet sees Juliet crying and thinks she is still upset about Tybalt. She tells Juliet that Juliet is to marry Paris. Juliet says she will not marry him. Lord Capulet hears and tells Juliet she will marry him or he will disown her.
  • I pray you, tell my lord and father, madam, I will not marry yet; and, when I do, I swear, It shall be Romeo, whom you know I hate, Rather than Paris. These are news indeed!
