Hi my name is Shakespeare and i will be taking you on a guide through the Renaissance. The Renaissance was a cultural rebirth that occurred in Europe from roughly the 14th through the middle of the 17th centuries.
This is Galileo he is a scientist that proved his theory that mass in object doesn't affect the time something takes to drop. He did this by dropping a large weight and a smaller weight at the same time from the tower of Pisa.
This is Gutenberg he invented the printing press. Which allowed ideas and books to spread quickly. The first book printed was the Bible.
Luther was a Catholic priest who started the Prostenant Reformation. Which was a rebellion against the Church. He also wrote the 95 Thesis's and nailed it to the church in Wittenberg.
Now after the Prostenant Reformation the church had to get their followers back so they started the Catholic Reformation. So they made some changes to the church like getting rid of indulgences.
You see the Renaissance affects all the time in our every day life. Whether we are dealing with science, language arts, math, or art because in the Renaissance people made improvements to everything. Things like the telescope, scientific method, realism, the heliocentric theory, and different plays all came from the Renaissance.
